Education
The University of Houston – Victoria offers one of the most affordable MBA programs in the nation while also being one of the most extensive MBA programs in Houston. UHV offers a Strategic MBA program, which is geared towards students who desire close interactions between professors and other students. The Strategic MBA is a mix of both face-to-face and online courses. Their Global MBA program is offered entirely online. It is designed in eight week periods with a fast-tracked curriculum and flexible start times are available. Areas of focus for MBA include Finance, Marketing, Management, General Business, and Human Resource Management. Student Life
The School of Business Administration strives to connect students and alumni for real-life experiences and education. With the support of the Willis Group, Distinguished Speaker Lectures bring in leaders from the community to give students tips and discuss their experiences in the business world. The school also hosts Alumni Week where alumni are invited to come to speak in classes to students about their experiences and allow students and alumni to make connections for the future. They are also included in the Case Competitions/Conference where students work in groups and present their recommendations for a public company. UHV School of Business makes a considerable effort to keep their alumni involved in the school to help future business leaders make connections and prepare for their future.
Online Programs
The School of Business at UHV has an extensive undergraduate program with many focuses. Within the Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree, there are five concentrations areas, four of which can be completed entirely online. BBA concentrations include Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Management, and General Business. Within the General Business degree, there are five more areas of focus to give students an edge in certain areas of business that have a strong demand. These include Economics, Healthcare Administration, Human Resource Management, International Business, and Supply Chain Management. Four of those concentrations are also available entirely online to meet the needs of those who work full time or are not able to meet face to face, but still wish to earn a degree.
