The University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business is a pioneer in educating future business leaders while integrating ethics into the curriculum. The CoB was formed in 1908 and has been AACSB-accredited since 1923. Producing ethical, innovative, inclusive, and marketable graduates who carry integrity, drive, leadership, and confidence, and are prepared to make a positive global impact, is the CoB’s number one priority.

Education

Students who desire an undergraduate degree in business have a variety of options. They can study for ethically infused Bachelor degrees in Business Information & Analytics, Hospitality Management, Management, Real Estate & the Built Environment, Accountancy, Finance, International Business, or Marketing. Graduate students can obtain a Masters in Accountancy, Real Estate & the Built Environment, Business Information & Analytics, Marketing, Finance, or Management. Several Masters in Business Administration programs exist, including the Denver MBA(full-time), Professional MBA(part-time), and the Executive MBA(part-time). The University places such high importance on students receiving international experiences that they work hard to offset the cost for study abroad trips. Business students can participate in global education in places like Australia, France, Spain, New Zealand, Germany, India, Italy, England, Japan, Thailand, and Ireland.

Student Life

To fulfill “The Daniels Difference,” which is to give students “access to real-world business challenges via action-based learning,” students have an enormous amount of experiential learning opportunities. The business-specific student organizations like the Marketing Association, Net Impact, Women in Business, Finance Club, Entrepreneurship Society, Alpha Kappa Psi, Delta Sigma Pi, National Society of Minorities in Hospitality, Consulting Firm, International Business Association, and Graduate Business Information & Analytics, provide academic and experiential educational opportunities.

Students can work with a real-life corporation to help solve finance and accounting issues or manage a real investment portfolio. They can plan and run significant hospitality events, conduct business consulting with real clients, shadow a member of an ad agency, and have face time with executives. A required element for every student is participating in the Daniels Professional Development Program. Since the ultimate goal is to graduate career-ready students, some numerous activities and events will help that process. The program provides workshops about majors and careers, career fairs, resume and cover letter assistance, mock interviews, case competitions, The Dress Code interactive business attire fashion show, an Etiquette Dinner, and the Business Olympics, which hosts games and competitions. Two other events consist of panel discussions with professionals, the community, students, and alumni focusing on race and women in the workplace.

Online Programs

To accommodate working professionals, Daniels CoB provides an online Masters in Professional Real Estate and an Online MBA degree program. These programs are AACSB-accredited. The MBA@Denver has interactive live virtual classes with three-day on-campus immersions to give online students the opportunity to interact with peers, build their network, and have face-to-face time with professors.
