Education

Undergraduates are inundated with business knowledge in management and science and education full of opportunity. The Bachelors in Business Administration offers concentrations in Finance, Information Systems, Operations & Supply Chain Management, Accounting & Auditing, Marketing, Business Analytics, and Management. Every business student is encouraged to expand their education internationally through the Education Abroad Program. It takes students to places like China, Spain, Australia, Ghana, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Italy, and Japan to obtain global business skills.

The School of Business’ Anderson Graduate School of Management offers graduate-level study through its MBA, Professional MBA, Masters in Finance, and Masters in Professional Accountancy degrees. The MBA carries the same concentrations as the BBA, except for Business Analytics. To obtain the highest level of degree, the SoB provides an excellent Business Ph.D. with concentrations in Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Management.

The University provides an immense amount of financial aid opportunities. A couple of undergraduate scholarships include the Bank of America Business Leaders Scholarship and the Undergraduate Scholarship Fund. Graduate students are automatically considered for the Innovation in Business, Leadership in Accounting, and the Leadership in Finance Scholarships.

Student Life

The life of a student encompasses every social and co-curricular activity, event, and opportunity that enhances their academic prowess, professional preparation, and overall well-being. Students can accomplish this by participating in student organizations like the American Marketing Association, Hylander Financial Group, The Accounting Society, Beta Alpha Psi, Undergraduate Business Association, AGSM Student Association, and the Future Business Leaders of America. Becoming an undergraduate or graduate Student Ambassador gives students a way to represent their school while building leadership skills and engaging with faculty and the community.

Career preparation is a significant factor for every student. The Career Center provides various resources, including career fairs, planning, job searches, counseling, resume assistance, networking, professional panels of industry leaders in the Job Discovery Series, and workshops about interviews, connecting professionally, and success in the marketplace. AGSM has its own Career Development Center focused entirely on graduate students. These centers also help students find internships that are highly beneficial to their professional development.

The “living laboratory” of inland southern California offers students an incredible connection to businesses, companies, executives, and experiences to gain knowledge and understanding of the fast-paced, ever-changing, innovative world of international commerce. Within the R’LEAD elective course, students interact and network with a variety of organizations in the community. Every student is encouraged to participate in the SoB’s Global Study Program for an intensive week in places like Silicon Valley, Beijing, New York, Oxford, Washington D.C., or Israel.
