The University of California, Berkeley’s Haas School of Business was established in 1898 and is the second-oldest business school in the nation. It is a leading producer of new knowledge and ideas in all areas of business, inspiring a program called the New Thinking for the New Economy. The staff at Berkeley Haas includes two Nobel Prize Laureates in Economics on its list of faculty members.

Education

The Berkeley Haas undergraduate and graduate degree programs are consistently ranked among the world’s top performers. Online Programs

The University’s Accounting certificate is ranked as the second-best in the nation by Accounting Degree Review, an independent resource for prospective and current accounting and finance students. Updated Certified Public Accountant (CPA) educational requirements and new International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) are often released. The need for additional expertise to initiate global standards is critical. Students in this online program will gain a current understanding of accounting principles, reporting practices, and regulatory requirements. They will also benefit from a curriculum that is maintained by an advisory board of education and business leaders and approved by the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business.

The online Certificate Program in Finance is designed for those currently working in a finance-related profession (CPAs, professional investment advisors, and securities brokers, etc.). Students wishing to enter the finance field or broaden their capital markets or investment management knowledge will also benefit from this diverse curriculum. Certificates in Marketing and Project Management are also available online.
