
The Mission of the Tiffin University School of Business is “to prepare students for professional, managerial, and leadership positions in both the public sector and private sector profit and not-for-profit organizations.” All programs within the School of Business place emphasis on improving skills in the areas of analytical, technical, and critical thinking, as well as developing both professional and interpersonal communication. The University itself follows a set of distinct values that can be seen throughout the campus. These are interdependence, communication, accountability, respect, and entrepreneurship. Business students will benefit from the University’s overall commitment to creating a well-rounded learning experience that will easily transfer into any workplace environment.
Education
Tiffin University’s School of Business carries accreditation with both the Higher Learning Commission and the ACBSP. They hold additional accreditation through the European Council for Business Education for their BBA and MBA programs. This agency is headquartered in Brussels, Belgium and covers several business programs offered in Europe. There are over 10 unique majors available for undergraduate business students. Several of these options include Accounting, Computer Science, Finance, Sports Management, and many more. Master’s of Business Administration students can complete their degree online or on-campus. MBA concentrations are available in high-interest areas such as Data Analytics, Forensic & Fraud Examination, International Business, or Sports Management. A Ph.D. can also be earned in Leadership and Change.
Student Life
The first-year experience for Tiffin undergraduate students is filled with fun activities and support. First-year advising plays a role in making sure students adjust to their new home by providing personalized mentoring and academic planning throughout freshman year. “Dragon Educational Core” is a set of four core courses that new students take to build professionalism, community, and academic preparedness. Outside of the first-year experience, there are also many activities, clubs, and sports organizations to participate in. Clubs cover a variety of areas like academics, special interests, multicultural, and Greek organizations.
Online Programs
Distance learners can complete their MBA online in only 14 months. This well-respected program focuses on important competencies like communication, leadership, problem-solving, and information technology. Students actively learn through research, analysis of current business trends, and case studies. This combination of methods helps participants understand the real-world applications of what they are learning in the classroom. Undergrads can complete an online Bachelor’s of Business Administration with specializations in either Accounting, Management-HR, Management-Managerial Studies, or Marketing. All of the online programs are flexible, professional, and designed with working adults in mind. Graduate-level certificates are available for those interested in pursuing their studies outside of a degree. There are nearly 15 topics to choose from in subjects such as Justice Administration, Marketing, Criminal Behavior, Sport Management, or Crime Analysis.
