Education

Students who are passionate about business can earn a Bachelor’s of Business Administration, with a major in Accounting, Energy Commerce, Finance, Information Technology, Management, Marketing, or Supply Chain Management. Rawls College also offers certificates to enhance an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Commercial Banking, Data Analytics, Energy, Finance, Leadership, Information Technology, International Business, and Sales and Customer Relationship Management. Accelerated BBA to an MS in Accounting, Finance, or a STEM MBA is also offered. Dual degree programs in Architecture or Agricultural and Applied Economics can be combined with a BBA. The Rawls Summer Business Institute is a 12-credit hour business immersion program for business minors, or other non-business majors, providing an overview of eight functional areas of business through workshops and seminars.

Graduate students can earn a STEM MBA, Professional MBA, Dual MBA. STEM MBA students can select a track to finish the program in 12 months or 24 months, and upon completing the STEM concentration, can add a second concentration in Information Technology or Marketing Analytics. The Professional MBA can be completed in two years. Students enrolled at the Marble Falls campus can add a concentration in Big Data Strategy, and students in the program at Lubbock can add a concentration in Health Organization Management. Dual MBA programs offered include J.D./MBA, M.D./MBA, M.S. Biotechnology or Ph.D. Biomedical Sciences/MBA, or a Pharm.D./MBA. Masters of Science degrees are offered in Accounting, Data Science, Finance, or Marketing Research and Analytics. Students can additionally earn a graduate certificate in Business Analytics or Essentials of Business. A Ph.D. in Business Administration is also offered and generally takes four or five years to complete. Ph.D. tracks include Accounting, Finance, Management, Management Information Systems, and Marketing. Students in this program will partner with a faculty member to conduct in-depth research within their chosen track.

Student Life

The Rawls Business Leadership Program helps students develop their leadership abilities through experiential learning projects, an individual mentor, real-world application, and international experiences. Students in this program can also live in a special learning community with other business students. Previous international trips have included Brazil and Chile. Students also use their business knowledge to support non-profits, such as Susan G. Komen, and YWCA. Other business organizations include Rawls Business Ambassadors, Rawls Eloquent Raiders Toastmasters, Tech Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization, Women in Business, as well as business fraternities and organizations specific to business majors.

Online Programs

Rawls offers most business programs online. The eLearning Center ensures these courses are learner-centered and quality designed through Open SUNY Course Quality Review. Students can rest assured their online courses will consist of rigorous content, relevant activities, engaging interaction, and effective feedback.
