Student Life

The overarching goal of every degree program is to get students closer to reaching their career goals. The Career Education & Development office provides numerous resources, including career coaching, interview prep, assistance with resumes, and help discovering the right major and career, networking events, graduate school and job searches, career and internship fairs, and a constant flow of relevant events.

Internships are highly encouraged and provide an incredible learning experience, can boost a resume, and allows students to apply their recently acquired knowledge. For example, Hospitality students can spend a semester at Disney absorbing knowledge and experience first-hand. It is vital for students to have face time with business professionals, and that can happen through the Distinguished Speaker Series, where experts come to campus to speak to the student body and through Site Visitations, where students travel to business locations.

Students can also experience learning through participation in many different student-led organizations. These groups include the Hospitality & Tourism Society, EVENT-ive, Eta Sigma Delta, SoB Student Advisory Board, Accounting & Finance Society, Computer Society, Graduate Student Council, Economics Society, Rotaract, and The Stockton Investment Club.
