Stevenson University offers students exceptional experiences through the Brown School of Business and Leadership. The university was originally founded in 1947 and has consistently grown in breadth and depth since then. Stevenson has more than doubled its student population since 2001 and has also been recently recognized by top publications. In 2020, Stevenson was named among “Best Value Schools” by US News and World Report. Brown was opened in 2008 and features its own library and a Cyber Security and Digital Forensics Lab. A new Applied Finance Lab is currently underway after a generous gift of $150,000 from a faculty member. This lab will bring the excitement of Wall Street to students with market data displays and digital stock tickers. Brown is also in the process of acquiring specialized IACBE accreditation.

Education

All of the business programs place an emphasis on career readiness. Undergraduate degree options include Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics, Fashion Merchandising, and Marketing. The rigorous Digital Forensics program was awarded the “National Centers of Digital Forensics Academic Excellence” designation by the Defense Cyber Crime Center. Students will pair a minor in Economics, Information Systems, International Business, Management, or Marketing with their degree to make themselves more marketable and expand their career opportunities. There are also a wide variety of concentration options available. Accounting majors can decide between Accountancy or Finance. Business Administration students can select Entrepreneurship, Finance, or Sports Management. Students studying CIS can pursue Computer Forensics, Network Design, or Software Design.

Students who are ready to take the next step in their career can earn a master’s degree in Business and Technology Management, Forensic Accounting, or Forensic Studies. Seniors can begin taking classes towards their graduate degree through the BS to MS program and can complete both degrees in just five years.

Student Life

Business students have some amazing opportunities for experiential learning. Accounting students look forward to the annual Accounting Boot Camp, featuring case studies, CPA exam study tips, and info sessions with partners at CPA firms. Fashion Merchandising students attend special events, such as Magic Market Week and Coterie, and intern with Nordstrom and Anthropologie.

Enactus is a very active club, and a Business Administration major was recently recognized as an Enactus BNY Mellon Fellow, placing him in the top one percent of all members in the nation. Other business clubs include the Accounting Association, Financial Management Association, and The Marketing Network.

The highly motivating Boston Speaker Series features notable guests such as Bill Clinton, Steve Wozniak, and Laura Bush. Students can also take field trips to New York or study abroad in England, Ireland, Italy, and many other countries. These phenomenal opportunities lead to 92% of graduates securing employment or furthering their education within six months of earning their degree.

Online Programs

Students can earn their degree from their home or squeeze in a study session during lunch at the office with Stevenson University Online. Bachelor’s degrees are offered in Business and Technology Management and Business Communication. Classes are offered in eight-week sessions to fit into students’ busy lifestyles.
