The College of Business at South University takes pride in developing motivated and focused life-long learners in a personalized, supportive, diverse, and innovative environment. They work closely with each student to identify the proper academic and career goals and the best pathway to success. Since its opening in 2008, the CoB has produced ethical leaders who gain crucial communication and critical thinking skills, while growing in professionalism and positively influencing society.
Education
South University offers all four levels of higher education to business students. There is an Associates in Accounting, Business Administration, or Information Technology. Undergraduate students can also pursue a Bachelors in Business Administration or Information Technology. To take it a step further, graduate students can study for a Masters in Human Resources Management, Leadership, Information Technology, or Business Administration. The MBA can be completed in an accelerated format, if so desired, and offers an optional focus in Healthcare Administration. The ACBSP accredits the BBA and all of the MBA degree options. The top tier can be reached through obtaining a Doctorate in Business Administration. As it is apparent how high of a cost it is to gain a higher education, the University works hard to help students find financial aid through federal grants, work-study, and scholarships.
Student Life
To receive a high return on investment, students must tap into all of the resources available to them. At the beginning of their time at South, business students are set up with an admissions representative, academic counselor, and financial counselor to assist in every step of the educational process. The South Edge Career Services Portal is an online tool that gives business students an advantage in professional development. It offers help with resumes, interview prep, networking, setting goals, searching and applying for jobs, discovering strengths, managing time, study skills, teamwork tips, work-life balance, diversity, resolving conflict, and tutoring and tech support services. Employer Connections is a tool employers can use to connect with qualified students for internships and job opportunities. South University is a tight-knit group of people who can utilize resources even after they graduate. Alumni Connections is the Alumni Association website that connects alumni all over the world, providing business students with services and resources, networking opportunities, life updates, webinars, industry news, and a link to hire a new South graduate.
Online Programs
Students who desire to obtain a South University business degree but cannot attend any one of the campuses can pursue an online degree taught by the same dedicated staff. With the online classroom, online library, and mobile app, online students can complete courses on their terms in a flexible manner. The online business degrees consist of a Bachelors in Accounting, Business Administration, or Information Technology; Masters in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Information Systems, or Leadership; and a Doctorate in Business Administration.
