Education
Undergraduate and graduate students can be assured to grow in their knowledge of business principles, ethical perspective, and professional integrity while gaining crucial skills in communication, research, problem-solving, and critical thinking. Whether it is to educate students for an entry-level position or enhance their knowledge to advance in their careers, the School of Business has a degree to fit. Students can focus on one class per month, which allows for an accelerated completion rate. They offer Associates and Bachelors in Business Administration degrees. The BBA provides optional specializations in Finance, Accounting, International Business, Applied Management, Retail Management, Human Resource Management, Management, Engineering Management, Sports & Recreation Management, and Health Care Management. For graduate students, there is a Masters in Business Administration, which carries most of the same specializations as the BBA plus Sales Management and Project Management options. Qualifying undergraduates can benefit from scholarships like the President’s Honor Scholarship, and graduate students can apply for the Alumni Scholarship.
Student Life
For students to glean the most out of their college experience, they must actively participate in student activities, groups, events, and outreach. There are academic, social, interest, religious, and recreational student organizations like Ambush E-sport Club, Black Student Union, Campus Activities Board, Alpha Phi Omega, Golden Key, National Society of Leadership and Success, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Rainbow Alliance, International Student Organization, Student Government Association, and Tiger Techies. Every student is highly encouraged to complete an internship where they learn professionalism, responsibility, and in-depth knowledge of the day-to-day functions of a company. To assist in the academic journey, the Benedum Library has a massive collection of resources, materials, and books, and offers online access to books and resources as well. Students who choose to live on campus have the advantage of living with other business students to live, learn, and grow together in relationships, academics, and life experiences.
Online Programs
Salem has created a flexible, convenient, and accessible distance education program so business students all over the world can earn a Salem degree. The online degree programs are designed to cater to the busy schedule of the working professional and can be completed 100% online or a combination of on-campus and online classes. There are the online Associates, Bachelors, and Masters in Business Administration degree programs with all of the optional specializations included. Online students can also participate in most of the University’s student organizations.
