The Haub School of Business is committed to the Jesuit ideal of cura personalis, the development of the whole person. This focus leads to a comprehensive learning experience the develops graduates who have the ability to think critically, respect different points of view, and have the drive to make meaningful contributions to their local community. As one of the largest Jesuit business schools in the country, Haub educates nearly 3,500 students each semester. The Haub chapter of the national business honors society, Beta Gamma Sigma, is consistently recognized as one of the strongest performing chapters worldwide.

Education

While academics are of obvious importance, at Saint Joseph’s University, hands-on learning is invaluable. This view is especially beneficial to business students who have a variety of ways to gain vital experience due to the University’s relationships with local and national corporations and organizations. Students may participate in a co-op program, internships, or service-learning projects, all while completing their degree. Undergraduate degrees are available with many major and minor options such as Accounting, Entertainment Marketing, Food Marketing, Sports Marketing, and Business Intelligence and Analytics. Graduate students can earn an MBA, as well as several Master’s of Science options in high demand fields like Food Marketing and Finance. Graduate certificates can also be completed in over 10 subjects.

Student Life

Huab business students have access to a variety of academic experiences abroad, including summer programs, over 30 study abroad options, and faculty-led study tours. On-campus, there are over 90 organizations to join. Accounting Society, ALPFA, Business Intelligence and Technology Society, and International Business Society are several that would be of interest. For those looking for an athletic outlet, the University participates in Philadelphia City 6 Extramurals, which is one of the biggest intramural organizations in the country. Because of the University’s holistic approach to learning, there are many aspects of connection that would not be typically be found elsewhere. One such example is student retreats, which range from several hours to several days and focus on creating a balanced life and learning experience.

Online Programs

The Online MBA at Saint Joseph’s University allows students to follow a unique, self-paced curriculum with no residency requirement. The online business degrees offered through the Haub School of Business are taught by the same highly qualified professors as the on-campus programs, offered at the same tuition rates, and include 10 relevant areas of concentration. A few of the specializations are Health and Medical Services, Data Intelligence, International Business, and Marketing. The program is set to be completed in one to two years on a full-time basis or in around two and a half years at a part-time pace. No work experience is required before applying, and students are welcomed from a variety of academic backgrounds.
