Education

Bachelors degree students can major in Accounting; Finance; Marketing with a specialization in Marketing Research; or Management with specializations in E-commerce Technology, Strategy/International Business/Entrepreneurship, and General Management. Graduate students can study for the Traditional Masters in Business Administration, the Professional MBA, or the Professional Masters in Accounting degrees. The MBA offers flexible scheduling and has specialization options in Strategic Leadership, Digital Marketing, Business Analytics, or Investments & Private Wealth Management. The Business Leader Development Program provides extensive leadership skill-building opportunities through networking, service projects, lunch and shadowing with executives, and workshops that count towards elective credit or honors certification. There is an option for qualifying upper-level students to pursue up to six credits of independent study alongside a faculty mentor.

To help ease the financial burden, Rutgers provides many opportunities for financial aid through the Bridging the Gap program, scholarships, grants, and federal work-study opportunities. Many opportunities exist for students to gain international learning experiences. Whether it is a one-week study trip or an entire semester, the International Studies Program takes students to places like South Africa, Iceland, Brazil, Haiti, Southeast Asia, Spain, and Guatemala.

Student Life

The Student Experience Center(SEC) provides countless educational and experiential learning opportunities along with helping best prepare students to enter into a career that fits their interests and abilities. The Professional Skills Forum courses are required throughout the first three years. These courses help with professional goals, etiquette, peer networking, creating a portfolio, preparation for internships, and building a relationship with the SEC. They also help students find internships with real companies to gain hands-on experience, improve their network, and build their resumes. With the university located so close to both Philadelphia and New York City, students have the advantage of making connections with and being influenced by professionals located in two enormous financial markets.

A variety of student organizations are for business students. These groups include the Marketing Association, Beta Alpha Psi Honor Society, National Association of Black Accountants, Management Association, Rutgers Women of Business Alliance, Real Estate Investment Club, and the Student Finance Association. The Ragone Center provides a CPA Exam Review Program for current accounting students, serves as a hub for connecting local accounting professionals with Rutgers faculty members, and offers educational accounting resources. The Financial Markets Lab is an excellent resource that contains the Bloomberg Professional® service, real-world data, training software, and outstanding experiential learning and research opportunities for students.

Online Programs

For some students to balance their work obligations and life responsibilities with earning a higher education, Rutgers provides an incredibly flexible, fully online Master of Business Administration degree program with all four specializations available.
