Student Life

Students must participate in the numerous student clubs and organizations to fully experience every aspect of learning and prepare to enter a career. Business groups include the Finance & Accounting Student Body, Delta Sigma Pi, Enactus, the Nonprofit Leadership Club, Innovate at the Rock, Colleges Against Cancer, Econ Club, Green Club, PEERS, College Republicans, Hockey Club, Student Activities Board, and the Black Student Union.

In addition to the learned material in the classroom, all students can benefit from professional business coaches that come alongside them. They provide pertinent advice, direction, and personal development to aid in the educational process in discovering the right career pathway or helping advance in their current career.

A great advantage is the access to the many levels of businesses in the Kansas City area and developing professional relationships with them. Students learn from, complete internships with, gain hands-on experience from, and find service and employment opportunities with these organizations. Helzberg’s Center for Leadership and Ethics, offering annual events, speakers, and resources, gives business students another excellent educational tool to help build leadership skills and experience.
