Regis College offers an unrivaled business education through the Marshall M. Sloane School of Business and Communication. This ACBSP accredited SoB was named after the founder of Century Bank, who was a major supporter of the school throughout his lifetime. Regis was originally founded as a women’s only Roman Catholic college, but today the campus educates a diverse student population. Every student completes at least one internship, and 97% of students are employed or enrolled in graduate school six months post-graduation. The 12:1 student-to-faculty ratio gives professors more time to devote to each student as mentors.
Education
Undergraduate students can earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Analytics or Financial Planning. The Bachelor of Arts degree is available in Business Management, Communication, Global Business Management, or Marketing and Communications. Students can also choose to minor in Accounting/Finance, Data Analytics, Economics, or Film Studies. The first Fast Track cohort will launch in Fall 2020.
Graduate students can pursue a master’s degree in Strategic Communication. Students can follow the Sports or Non-profit track. Both tracks feature a required capstone course. The sports track includes Sports Communication, Sports Marketing and Advertising, and Sports Writing. Students in the Non-profit track will take Non-profit Communication, Grant Writing, and Public and Private Disasters: Crisis Communication. All classes are offered in eight-week sessions in a hybrid format.
Student Life
Regis is an exciting campus to be a part of! Students who are invited into the Honors Program will participate in individual and group service-learning projects and serve as a mentor to other students. PRIDE Scholars build a strong rapport with their peers through special learning communities, student mentoring by an upper-classman, and experiential learning opportunities. Several recruiting events are held on campus to help 100% of students secure an internship. Over 1,600 jobs are posted annually on the Regis online career board. Graduate students receive individualized career coaching sessions.
Online Programs
Whether students are seeking new job skills through a certificate or a promotion through a graduate degree, they will find convenient online programs that fit their needs. In as few as 14 months, students who hold a bachelor’s degree can complete the Financial Planning Certificate. This certificate contains all of the pertinent classes for students to succeed on the CFP exam. Classes are offered in condensed eight-week sessions.
A unique online MBA degree is also offered, but only for students who have already earned a master’s degree or are currently enrolled in another master’s degree program. This degree is only 18 credit-hours and is designed for non-business professionals who would like to make a pivot in their career or add a business perspective to complement their profession.
