Student Life
Numerous business student groups encourage engagement, leadership skills development, and community service while offering networking opportunities. These groups include the Student Accounting Society, Finance and Investment Society, Microfinance Club, ENACTUS, Marketing Club, and Delta Sigma Pi. The Toast at the Point group helps build public speaking skills and effective communication. The Launch Point Club provides entrepreneurial training and guidance. Students in any business major can find applicable internships with prominent companies to continue developing professionally, advance their resume, and make lasting professional connections that can lead to future employment. Service-learning is a massive part of the developmental process, and Fermanian offers a course that combines classwork with communicating and working together with real-life clients on real projects with nonprofit organizations. Students can also work with the Fermanian Business & Economic Institute focusing on effective change in consulting with businesses around the world.
