The Max M. Fisher College of Business at Ohio State University is a premier business school that has been producing business leaders since 1916. The undergraduate business program, Professional MBA, and Master’s of Accounting program are all ranked among the top 10 in the nation for public universities by U.S. News and World Report for 2020.

Additionally, the Full-time MBA was ranked among the top 20 programs at public universities by Financial Times and Forbes in 2019 and by Businessweek and the Economist in 2018. Financial Times also ranked the Specialized Master’s in Finance 3rd among public universities in 2018. UT Dallas Rankings places faculty research in Accounting, Finance, Management Sciences, Management- Strategy and International Business, and Marketing among the top 20 public higher education institutions. With so many stellar programs, any degree a student chooses to pursue is sure to open a world of possibilities.

Education

Future students can look forward to earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. These degrees can be specialized with choices available in Accounting, Business Management, Aviation Management, Economics, Finance, Human Resources, Information Systems, Insurance, International Business, Logistics Management, Marketing, Operations Management, and Real Estate. Additional business minors include Business Analytics and Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

Students with the drive to take their career to the next level will excel in the Full-Time MBA, MBA for Working Professionals, or EMBA. Each of the MBA programs is centered around three components: flexible coursework, on-site projects, and coaching and mentorship. A few examples of the 17 pathways offered include Brand Management, Corporate Finance, Operational Excellence, Risk Management, and Sustainability. Experiential learning is built into the curriculum with options such as the Social Impact Challenge, Business Case Competition, Business Lab Project, an international immersion, or a summer internship. Specialized master’s degrees are available in Accounting, Business Logistics Engineering, Business Operational Excellence, Human Resource Management, Business Analytics, and Finance.

Ph.D. programs are also offered in Business Administration, Accounting, and Management Information Systems. Every student admitted into the Ph.D. program receives 100% of their tuition funded and a stipend through fellowships, research assistantships, teaching assistantships, and grants. Specializations within the Business Administration Ph.D. include Finance, International Business, Strategy/Entrepreneurship, Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, Operations Management, Logistics, and Marketing.

Student Life

The best way for students to hone in on their leadership skills is by earning a Leadership certificate through the Dean’s Leadership Academy. In addition to completing five courses, students will participate in a community project.

The Global Labs program allows students to journey to Costa Rica, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Malaysia, Panama, or Russia during semester breaks. Students wishing to gain more extensive global experience can complete an internship or consulting project for an international firm. Many events take place right on campus, such as the Branding and Rebranding Workshop, the Consulting Academy, and Ask an Alum!

Fisher is also home to 48 business organizations, such as the Buckeye Undergraduate Consulting Club, Common Cents Investment Group, and Out in Business. The Undergraduate Leadership and Engagement Office also offers numerous opportunities for students to enhance their leadership skills.
