
The School of Business at Northwest Nazarene University delivers a slew of academically challenging programs for undergraduate, graduate, and adult learners. Undergraduate degrees are available in accounting and business administration, while graduate programs are available in healthcare and business administration. Graduating seniors from the bachelor’s programs have consistently placed in the 90th percentile or better on the major field test in business since 1997. NZU’s School of Business is also one of the few Pacific Northwest schools to hold international business accreditation through the esteemed Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs.

The business school’s faculty realizes this goal by providing a robust, scholarly business curriculum firmly planted in the liberal arts tradition.
Education
Northwest Nazarene University’s business school and Department of Business & Economics offer a variety of business degree programs, including both online and face-to-face options. These top-notch degree programs include online associate degrees, accelerated bachelor’s degrees, traditional bachelor’s degrees, and an online bachelor’s degree. The NNU School of Business has created several objectives to measure overall effectiveness and learning in its ongoing process to monitor students’ success.
The undergraduate business program’s intent is for students to increase their overall business knowledge and acumen. Students are expected to rank in the 80th percentile or better as a group on the Major Field Test-ETS exam. Business students are expected to rank in the 60th percentile or better as a group in each of the nine sub-categories or areas closely matching the Common Professional Core of the MFT-ETS exam. Graduate business program students are expected to increase their overall business knowledge and rank in the 65th percentile or better as a combined group on the MBA Exit Exam.
Student Life
The business school provides some excellent student organizations and clubs to join. The Accounting Club gives students the chance to be involved in the community while simultaneously encouraging them to pursue career goals in the area of Accounting. The Accounting Club allows club members to network with Accounting professionals to serve the community at large by providing tax assistance to low-income level individuals and families.
Northwest Nazarene University’s American Marketing Association Collegiate Chapter provides students with the chance to cultivate and apply marketing principles to reach their utmost potential. The chapter reveals its activity throughout campus and the community by engaging in community service and hosting several student events throughout the calendar year.
Online Programs
The business school provides a two year online Associate Degree. The programs are offered in multiple areas of study, including Education, Christian Studies, Business, and Liberal Studies. All classes are offered online in a five- or eight-week format. Students lacking previous academic experience can complete the degree in two years. Distance learners must complete a minimum of 63-semester credits to meet all degree requirements. Thirty-two of those credits must be taken at Northwest Nazarene University. A Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration is also delivered online. This online degree provides an opportunity for the distance learner to earn a business administration degree while being a stay-at-home parent or working full-time.
