The purpose of the School of Business at Northwest Nazarene University is to equip students with a high-quality business education by developing ethical servant leaders who can influence and transform a global population for the kingdom of Christ after completing a business degree. The business school’s faculty realizes this goal by providing a robust, scholarly business curriculum firmly planted in the liberal arts tradition.

These top-notch degree programs include online associate degrees, accelerated bachelor’s degrees, traditional bachelor’s degrees, and an online bachelor’s degree. The NNU School of Business has created several objectives to measure overall effectiveness and learning in its ongoing process to monitor students’ success.

Graduate business program students are expected to increase their overall business knowledge and rank in the 65th percentile or better as a combined group on the MBA Exit Exam.

Student Life

The business school provides some excellent student organizations and clubs to join. The Accounting Club gives students the chance to be involved in the community while simultaneously encouraging them to pursue career goals in the area of Accounting. The Accounting Club allows club members to network with Accounting professionals to serve the community at large by providing tax assistance to low-income level individuals and families.

Northwest Nazarene University’s American Marketing Association Collegiate Chapter provides students with the chance to cultivate and apply marketing principles to reach their utmost potential. The chapter reveals its activity throughout campus and the community by engaging in community service and hosting several student events throughout the calendar year.

Online Programs

The business school provides a two year online Associate Degree. The programs are offered in multiple areas of study, including Education, Christian Studies, Business, and Liberal Studies. All classes are offered online in a five- or eight-week format. Students lacking previous academic experience can complete the degree in two years. Distance learners must complete a minimum of 63-semester credits to meet all degree requirements. Thirty-two of those credits must be taken at Northwest Nazarene University. A Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration is also delivered online. This online degree provides an opportunity for the distance learner to earn a business administration degree while being a stay-at-home parent or working full-time.
