New Mexico State University’s College of Business has been educating future business leaders since 1964. The high-quality curriculum and world-renowned faculty foster innovation, creativity, a strong work ethic, passion, determination, transformation, achievement, respect, and especially discovery. Graduates of this AACSB-accredited institution are well prepared to enter the world of business, make a positive impact, and to achieve great success.

Education

The AACSB-accredited undergraduate degrees offered are a Bachelors in Accountancy, Economics, and Business Administration in Finance, International Business, Marketing, Economics, General Business, Management, and Information Systems. The BBA in Marketing has a specialization option in PGA Golf Management. Graduate students can receive a Masters in Business Administration, Accountancy, Economics, Agricultural Economics, and Applied Statistics. There is an Accelerated MBA option, as well. The MBA has optional concentrations in Agribusiness, Finance, Information Systems, and Public Utility Regulation. A unique program offered is the Woodrow Wilson MBA Fellowship for Education Leaders. Doctoral students can obtain a Doctor of Economic Development, a Ph.D. in Management, or a Ph.D. in Marketing. The Ph.D. in Management has specializations in Strategy & Policy, Organizational Behavior, Operations Management, and Human Resource Management.

Financial assistance is paramount for many students. The College of Business has an incredible amount of scholarships available to undergraduate and graduate students including the Accounting Alumni Endowed Scholarship, Business College General Scholarships, Morales Business Excellence Current Use Scholarship, and the Block Foundation Scholarship.  

Student Life

The Center for Academic Advising, Student Support, and Career Services help direct students in the right degree path to best prepare them for their desired career. They also provide excellent career counseling and help students find beneficial internships and paid co-ops. There is way more to the life of a student than inside the classroom. Student-led organizations like Student Ambassadors, American Marketing Association, American Statistical Association, Association of Information Technology Professionals, Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization, Gamma Iota Sigma, Financial Management Association, Native American Business Students Association, and Professional Golf Management Student Association enhance the overall educational experience.

The Alumni Association is a great resource as they are committed to the success of students and provide scholarships, mentors, career advisement, and even internships. There are Business Etiquette video tutorials to show students how to act professionally, dress, and converse at a business lunch or dinner. There are several centers available to give students, faculty, and staff, hands-on experience and ways to serve the community including the Bureau of Business Research & Services, Insurance & Financial Services Center, the State Data Center, and the NMSU Arrowhead Center.  

Online Programs

The final two years of a Bachelor of Business Administration degree can be completed 100% online through the College of Business. This includes the BBA in Marketing, General Business, or General Business with a Tribal Management option. For the working professional, there is a flexible, fully online Master of Business Administration degree.
