The Eugene W. Stetson School of Business and Economics, at Mercer University, centers its education around adequately preparing the student for their future career. They focus on innovation, diversity, entrepreneurship, globalization, personal success, leadership, and respect. The nationally recognized faculty members strive to create an environment that produces effectiveness, professionalism, community service, application, and skills in communication, critical thinking, decision making, problem-solving, and social responsibility. The school carries the AACSB accreditation.

Education

For undergraduate students, the Bachelor of Business Administration degree majors are in General Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, International Business, Entrepreneurship, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Risk Management & Insurance, and Sports Marketing & Analytics. Graduate degrees include the Master of Business Administration, Master of Science in Business Analytics, and the Master of Accountancy. For honors students, Stetson has an excellent Honors Program and the Beta Gamma Sigma and Omicron Delta Epsilon Honor Societies. It is vital for students to enhance their global perspective, and the Office of International Programs connects students with the exchange program or faculty-led international educational trips. Exchange partners are located in places like Morocco, Bavaria, Hong Kong, Sweden, Japan, Madrid, England, Seoul, and Scotland. Faculty-led trips are to places like Bermuda, Dubai, Sicily, Italy, and Spain. The Academic Resource Center offers educational assistance through tutoring, writing workshops, and helping build study skills. There are a variety of scholarship options and financial aid available to business students as well.

Student Life

Business students have a plethora of options for resources, clubs, organizations, activities, service opportunities, and centers that enhance their overall educational experience. The Office of Career Management Services has career advisors that help students find internships, study abroad opportunities, and community service activities. They also help with interview preparation, resume writing, and anything needed to help best equip students to transition into a career after graduation. They can showcase their research projects at Breakthroughs in Engagement, Arts, and Research Day (BEAR). Mercer on Mission plans international service opportunities. The Annual Entrepreneurial Festival hosts the Elevator Pitch Contest, Entrepreneurial Forum, and the Business Model Competition. Students can hear from faculty on current business trends, issues, and topics during the Wednesday Webinar Series. Two excellent resources to assist students in serving the community while gaining in-person experience are the Center for Community Engagement and Office of Service Learning. Mercer also runs the BB&T Center for Undergraduate Research and the Center for Executive Education.

Online Programs

Stetson offers a flexible Bachelor of Business Administration degree that can be completed online or in combination with evening classes as needed. The online BBA concentrations are Accounting, Human Resource Management, Management, Marketing, and General Business. There is also an online MBA program that can be completed in 18 months with the option to attend on-campus classes if and when desired.
