At the Simon School of Business, students become a part of the greater Maryville University community. Advising, life coaching, expansive libraries, student organizations, adult-centered learning programs, and student support services are all in place to assure that each student has the tools that they need to be successful. The University offers a rich history spanning nearly 150 years, and the Maryville Alumni Association continues to care for students through meaningful programs such as an Annual Homecoming Week. In all forms of business, cultural awareness and communication skills are paramount. With over 10,000 students from all 50 states and 50 countries around the world enrolled each year, these skills are naturally cultivated through peer interactions.

Education

Maryville University students can earn a well-respected business degree through the Simon School of Business. Undergraduate programs are offered in many high demand areas such as Accounting, Management and Leadership, Cyber Security, and International Business. The majority of graduate-level degrees are offered online. However, the MBA and Master’s in Accounting programs have on-campus options that are designed with those who juggle many responsibilities in mind. Students earning theirs through the Simon School of Business are able to network with local businesses and major corporations because of the many partnerships forged with the school. Graduates have gone on to for many notable organizations such as the St. Louis Cardinals, non-profit organizations, and Fortune 500 companies. 

Student Life

Many resources are available to business students at Maryville University through the Office of Service and Spiritual Support and Office of Diversity and Inclusion. Community service, health and wellness, and personal counseling programs are included within these offices, making overall student wellness a top priority. Students have an opportunity to participate in a variety of clubs and organizations such as the Keith Lovin Institute for Leadership and Values, a specialized leadership community. The group focuses on promoting ethical leadership skills, community service, and communication. The Maryville Accounting Organization, Maryville Business Organization, and the Maryville University Financial Management Association are all great options for networking with fellow business majors as well. 

Online Programs

The online business programs at Maryville University include a Bachelor’s of Accounting, Business Administration, Cyber Security, Financial Services, Marketing, Management Information Systems, and Sports Business Management. The distance master’s degrees available are Accounting, MBA, Business Data Analytics, Cyber Security, and Software Development. All programs are 100% online with no required campus visits. The online MBA offers nine areas of specialization and can be completed within a year. There are no GMAT or GRE requirements. Start dates are open six times annually with no previous business experience required for admittance. The Simon School of Business has many distinguished partnerships that benefit both on-campus and virtual students. A few of these notable partnerships include Boeing, Scottrade, Edward Jones, and many more.
