The on-campus graduate program offered is the Masters in Professional Accountancy. Accounting students have the option to pursue a dual degree Bachelors in Accounting/Masters in Professional Accountancy and receive both degrees in a lesser amount of time.

These days, in the world of business, it’s almost assured that a professional will need to interact with, conduct business with, or provide products for people in different countries and cultures. Undergraduates have the option to study abroad by taking a class at the Marist campus located in Florence, Italy, or spend a semester or a year in a large variety of other countries.

There are numerous scholarships available to undergraduate students. Graduate students have access to scholarships based on merit like the Graduate Scholars Award, Graduate Academic Award, Marist Alumni Scholars Award, and the Marist Alumni Academic Award.

Student Life

Despite the hectic coursework, students find an amazing amount of time to be involved in activities that encourage both their social and academic development. Student clubs and organizations specifically for business students include Beta Gamma Sigma, The Business Club, Society for Human Resource Management, American Marketing Association, ENACTUS, Toastmasters, Student Investment Club, and the School of Management Ambassador Program.

This private college is located in the beautiful Hudson Valley and gives students direct access to professional connections and experiential learning opportunities, like internships, in the city of New York. These internships impress potential employers and increase possible acceptance into graduate schools. The New York City Career Trek is an incredible resource and networking event providing students with an opportunity to meet executives and visit companies like Citibank, Amazon, JP Morgan, Sony, and Viacom in hopes of acquiring internships and jobs. An incredible amount of real-world preparation happens in the business classes. For example, students get to manage real endowment investment funds and conduct research and work on projects in The Investment Center. This Center provides a “fully functioning trading floor,” including a stock ticker, Wall Street trading technology, and real Bloomberg terminals.
