Madonna University has educated business professionals since 1975. Their values-based approach combines Christian beliefs with a high-quality education. The School of Business prepares students in a holistic way so that they have the knowledge and skills to handle any business situation with integrity. Business students work closely with faculty through supervised internships, student advisory committees, service-learning projects, and Delta Mu Delta.

Education

The School of Business carries elite accreditation through the ACBSP. Students can extend their understanding of business in a variety of ways. Certificates are available in Quality and Operations Leadership, Quality Management, Forensic Accounting, or Entrepreneurship. Bachelor’s degrees include Organizational Leadership, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Business Administration, and Accounting.

Graduate students can complete a Master’s of Science in Accountancy, Business Leadership, or Health Services Administration. An MBA is also offered. The program has a broad focus with courses such as Managerial Economics, Strategic Management, Organizational Leadership, and Business Finance. The degree wraps up with a comprehensive capstone project where students present research to the School of Business Stakeholders.

Student Life

Madonna University was recently among the most affordable non-profit universities in the state of Michigan. Nearly 85% of students receive scholarships or grants, and the University itself awards over 900 scholarships each year. Even at this affordable price-point, the student to faculty ratio is low at 12:1. Students can choose to learn on-campus, online, or at one of three convenient satellite centers.

Part of their mission is to “prepare students to become knowledgeable, ethical, professional, and articulate global workers and citizens.” Community service and civic engagement play an important role in the campus experience. In fact, over 27,000 volunteer hours are completed across the United States and in Latin America each year. Madonna was the original private university in Michigan to earn the Community Engagement Classification by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. Aside from volunteering, students can also take their learning to another level through study abroad programs in China and Dubai.

Online Programs

There are three undergraduate online options available for Madonna students in Business Administration, Hospitality and Tourism Management, or Organizational Leadership. The Business Administration program offers degrees at both the associate’s and bachelor’s levels. Students can also choose to concentrate in Data Analytics, Finance, Human Resource Management, Marketing, and Supply Chain Management.

The School also provides distance options for graduate students in Accountancy and Business Leadership. The Accounting program includes an option that puts students on track to complete the 150 hours of education needed to become a licensed CPA. The MSBL is designed for students both with and without undergraduate business experience. Certificates in Criminal Justice Leadership, Financial Crimes Compliance, Non-Profit Leadership, and Quality Management can all be completed along with this degree.
