Student Life

The Career Services Office offers career counselors and peer mentors that walk alongside a student and help them discover and implement steps towards their desired career. They begin with assessing students through the Strong Interest Inventory and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator to determine where to start the preparation process. The Office hosts essential events like Drop-In Resume Critiques, Cocoa & Career, and the Focus 2 Career events.

Another way students can directly apply what they are learning in the classroom is through an internship with a professional business. The College of Business and Leadership helps students find prominent internship positions and job prospects with local and regional professional companies. Lourdes gives business students every opportunity to diversify their college experience and gain the most out of it. Recreational activities include bonfires, sports games, fitness classes, movie nights, dances, road trips, and more. Students can volunteer with the Lourdes Events & Activities Planning (L.E.A.P.) team to brainstorm, plan, and organize student activities. Involvement in student organizations can enhance the academic, leadership, and social, educational experience. Groups include ENACTUS, Sigma Beta Delta, Black Student Union, College Republicans, Gaming Society, Gray Wolf Nation, LINK (Linking Interest, Needs & Knowledge), Prism, and The Vitruvian.
