Education

Undergraduate students can earn an Associates or Bachelors in Business Administration in General Business, Accounting, Management, Finance, Sport Management, or Marketing. Graduate students can earn an MBA with flexibility in schedule for working adults. The MBA has concentration options in Business Analytics, Management, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, Operations Management, Sport Management, and Nursing Home Administration.

Qualifying students can apply for financial assistance through grants and scholarships like the Tennessee Student Assistance Award, Academic Excellence Awards, Trustee Full-Tuition Scholarship, and the Diversity Grant. The study abroad program provides long-term exchange and short-term summer, spring, and winter break trips. Students are immersed in a different culture and gain international influence and perspective. There are scholarships available to travel abroad, like the Gilman International Scholarship and the President’s Study Abroad Scholarship.

Student Life

The overall college experience can be some of the most fun and exciting times of growth and adventure. While business students are working towards a degree, they are highly encouraged to participate in a variety of student organizations. These groups include ENACTUS, Delta Mu Delta, Lincoln Ambassadors, SHARE Club, Black Student Union, Wildlife Society, Baptist Collegiate Ministries, Native American Student Union, Social Justice Club, and College Democrats. Other student activities involve outdoor movies, leadership development activities, Pool Olympics, Intramural Sports, and high adventure trips.

Academic Services helps provide access to any resource the business student needs to develop academically, including tutoring, workshops, support programs, academic advising, and group study. Career Services assists in deciding on the right major, providing career fairs, searching for jobs, job and interview prep, resume creation, finding and preparing for internships, and job shadowing opportunities. As it is important to serve others in the holistic developmental process, the Office of Student Leadership and Outreach leads students in finding community service opportunities. For example, students can help with Lincoln’s Cupboard, the on-campus food pantry, or provide free tax advice for needy people through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program. The University also has the Central Appalachian Center for Economic Development: The Entrepreneur and Small Business Connection, where students can work on projects that both better the environment and help the local economy.

Online Programs

Graduate students have the beneficial option of acquiring the Master of Business Administration degree entirely online, with all of the optional seven concentrations available as well. They can also pursue the online Masters in Business Analytics degree and the Doctor of Business Administration degree that is only offered online.
