The School of Business at LeTourneau University focuses on developing students that are not only successful but persistent. Built upon the moral values of the Christian faith, the SoB meshes spiritual growth and integrity with a strong work ethic and business principles to create a holistic learning environment. Students are taught to be entrepreneurial-minded with excellent creative, technical, collaborative, and communication skills.

Education

Expert faculty members lead students through a rigorous curriculum full of business plans, projects, and a variety of skills that prepare future business leaders. Students can earn a Bachelors in Business Administration, Accounting, General Business, Healthcare Management, Nonprofit Management, Marketing, Finance, and Human Resource Management. Masters degrees are offered online. For those who wish to earn a Bachelors and Masters, they can participate in the 4+1 program and secure both in just five years.

A variety of financial aid opportunities exist in different categories, including transfer students, honors college, church matching grants, missionary and pastors dependents grants, Hispanic scholarships, merit scholarships, and numerous other types of awards. To experience a different culture and expand understanding of how different parts of the world function, study abroad opportunities are available through short-term faculty-led trips to semester and summer-long trips. LeTourneau has partner universities in South Korea, Scotland, Germany, Mongolia, Australia, and New Zealand.

Student Life

So much of the educational process happens outside of the classroom. LeTourneau business students have multiple ways to experience education and grow in their faith in serving others. One way students can build upon their leadership skills and business knowledge is through participating in the Business Honor Society: Sigma Beta Delta. Students can also participate in the Entrepreneurial Experience to work with a team on projects, build on their innovative ideas, gain hands-on knowledge, and attend workshops while learning from and working with local entrepreneurs. Other ways students can directly apply what they are learning and help the community is through the programs that offer free tax preparation to lower-income families or advertise and conduct market research for local companies.

Students can join the IMPACT Team, where they are challenged in leadership roles around campus and their Christian influence and spiritual development. Students can make an impact on campus by attending Prayer and Praise services, writing encouragement on bathroom stalls (Stall Wall), praying for faculty and staff (Guardian Angels), Morning Prayer, and even a fundraiser to help fight human trafficking. Community outreach ministries include Over the Fence, Prison Ministry, Habitat for Humanity, Kidz Club, Trick or Treat on College Street, and Meet the Neighbors, which is an Easter outreach event. There are also summer and spring break mission trips.

Online Programs

To help people that cannot attend classes on campus or need an incredibly flexible schedule to earn a business degree, LeTourneau’s SoB offers nine online Bachelors degrees. Their graduate business Masters degrees are only offered online and are in Business Administration, Strategic Leadership, and Healthcare Administration.
