The School of Business & Public Leadership at Johnson University is a candidate for the ACBSP accreditation. It works hard to deliver excellent programs that intertwine business fundamentals with strong Christian values and principles. Various degrees can be acquired at their campus in Tennessee, Florida, or online. Each faculty member is equipped with expertise and years of experience and desire to see every student reach their potential. Students gain adequate knowledge and experience that produce effective and confident leaders who make a significant impact on their organizations and communities. Graduates value compassion, social responsibility, and ethical perspective.

Education

Undergraduate studies consist of three degrees. A great foundational degree to pursue is the Associates in Business Administration. There is also a Bachelors in Nonprofit Administration and the Bachelors in Business Administration. The BBA offers concentrations in Management, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and Sport Management.

Most full-time and some part-time students qualify for institutional scholarships. Undergraduate students pursuing an online degree are not eligible. Business students can apply for the Business Administration Scholarship, the Johnson Minority Scholarship, and the Christian Ministry Scholarship, to name a few. Online graduate students can receive the Center for Global Studies Department Ph.D. in Leadership Studies Scholarship.

Student Life

College life can be exceptionally academically, socially, physically, mentally, and spiritually rewarding. Business students gain hands-on experience through real-life simulations, conversations with faculty and local business professionals, projects with real organizations, and conducting case studies. They build lifelong friendships and have fun participating in campus activities like intramural sports, karaoke nights, bonfires, parties, study nights, and coffee houses. Student organizations are beneficial in every way. Groups include the Student Government Association, International Student Association, Drama Productions, University Hiking Club, and Presidential Ambassadors.

Spiritual development and service opportunities help produce Christian business leaders. There are weekly chapel services, small groups, and student groups like Students Promoting Social Unity, Harvesters, Leading with a Purpose, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Through the University’s community partnerships, business students serve numerous organizations throughout their college career. Volunteer hours are given to mentoring teens, raising funds, distributing food, coaching and tutoring kids, and advocating for mental health and equal rights. These opportunities give business students a chance to apply what they have been learning while benefiting the community and those in need.

Online Programs

There are several online business degrees available that offer the same high quality as the on-campus degrees. Undergraduates can obtain an online Associates or Bachelors in Business Administration with concentrations in Management, Entrepreneurship, and Marketing. Graduates have a fully online MBA with concentrations in Management, Leadership, and Nonprofit Management. Students who are enrolled in the online Ph.D. in Leadership Studies can first acquire an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Leadership Studies online. The Ph.D. offers concentrations in Organizational Leadership, Missional Leadership, Educational Leadership, and Philosophy & Theology of Leadership.
