Student Life

Howard University’s International Business Program is one of the oldest in the nation. There are many opportunities for students to study abroad. HU’s School of Business was actually one of the first to make an international trip to Cuba to learn about business trades in the global market. HU also features a unique Global Trilateral MBA program. In this program, HU students work in collaboration with students from Africa and China throughout three semesters. All students who participate in this program meet in South Africa for a conference during the first semester, then to China, and finally convene at the HU campus. This truly allows students to be immersed in different cultures.

Howard is also proud to offer multiple business centers to serve students’ academic needs, including the Center for Accounting Education, Career Excellence, Cybersecurity Education and Research, Supply Chain Management, Financial Services, Global Business Studies, and Insurance Education. These centers are a great resource for students to utilize when searching for internships, careers, and scholarships.

Howard’s prime location, in the nation’s capital, opens up a world of internship possibilities with international organizations, NGOs, and embassies. Many prominent guest speakers also visit campus to deliver presentations. The School of Business raises hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarships for students through an annual gala. Students and alumni are invited to attend to network with corporate leaders.

Online Programs

Howard School of Business offers an Executive MBA that not only allows students to complete the program fully online, but it can also be completed in 18 months.
