Education
There is tremendous flexibility offered through a variety of formats. Students choose to complete coursework in-person, in the evenings, online and in-person, or entirely online. Faculty members are highly qualified and offer a wealth of experience and knowledge in business theory and practice. Business students can financially benefit from Holy Family Scholarships, Alumni Association Scholarships, and various types of scholarships.
Undergraduate studies offer majors in Accounting, Business Intelligence, Management-Marketing, Sports Marketing-Management, and Computer Information Systems, a beautiful blend of computer science, business administration, and the liberal arts. A unique degree in Fire Science & Public Safety Administration is one of just a few throughout the globe that carries the IFSAC accreditation. It offers several concentrations.
The Rapid Degree Programs allow qualifying students to complete each degree in an accelerated amount of time. Students can complete a Bachelors in Business Administration with concentrations in Criminal Justice, Administration, or Accounting, in a blended format with evening face-to-face sessions and online coursework. The Masters in Business Administration, designed for experienced professionals, and the MBA for New Professionals, offer concentrations in Health Care Administration, Finance, and Human Resource Management and meet once a week in the evenings. Graduates can also pursue the blended Masters in Accountancy and Masters in Organizational Leadership degrees.
Student Life
Student engagement is a tremendously important part of the educational process. Business students can benefit from a variety of student organizations and club sports. Groups include the Accounting Society, Business Society, Campus Activities Board, Association of Computing Machinery, Habitat for Humanity, Pre-Healthcare Association, Baseball, Student Ambassadors, Student Government Association, Rugby, Delta Mu Delta Honor Society, and the Dance Team. Also, Campus Ministry encourages spiritual growth through weekly meetings, masses, retreats, and community service opportunities.
The SoBA stresses the importance of experiential learning throughout each program. Business students experience real-world scenarios, conduct hands-on projects, and develop professionally through many activities. A considerable way to experience learning and professional development is through completing an internship. HFU business students have interned with companies like Deloitte, Urban Outfitters, Naval Supply Systems Command, Philadelphia Gas Works, NBC-10, Philadelphia Convention Center, Philadelphia Eagles, and NFL Films.
Online Programs
The same quality MBA and MBA for New Professionals offered on-campus, is also offered entirely online. These degrees can be completed in 12 and 14 months, respectively, and provide the same concentrations as their on-campus counterpart.
