Education
Depending on the degree, classes can be completed in various formats. As technology is a massive part of the business industry, there is a mixture of business-specific and technologically creative degree programs. Undergraduates can major in Finance, Business Administration, Digital Design, Accounting, Digital Communications, Health Information Management, Marketing, Graphic Design & Multimedia, Management, or Latino Business Studies. There is an extensive amount of financial aid for undergraduates through scholarships like the GreenPal Business Scholarship and the AICPA Legacy Scholars Program.
The Masters in Business Administration provides flexible learning options and comes with a concentration in Healthcare Management. Other graduate studies include a Masters in Communication & Digital Marketing and Graduate Certificates in Nonprofit Management and Business Essentials. Graduate Assistantships help fund tuition in exchange for assistance in teaching, research, or administrative tasks.
It is highly beneficial for business students to acquire a global education while obtaining a degree. Through the study abroad programs offered by Georgian, business students can spend two weeks in Barcelona or a summer session in places like Australia, Brazil, Poland, Italy, or Scotland. They can learn about international business for an entire semester in China, Vietnam, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, France, Portugal, Spain, or Peru.
Student Life
Student organizations exist to fulfill a variety of interests and allow students to learn, develop, serve, and build relationships. Some of the groups include Salt and Light, Active Minds, Black Student Union, Relay for Life, Business Club, Campus Activities Board, Habitat for Humanity, Global Lions, and Latin American Students Organization.
It is essential for business students to have face-to-face time with potential employers, business executives, and local professionals to get advice, network with, and learn from their experiences. They can do this through the Business to Student Connector event and the Senior Thesis Exhibition. These opportunities can also lead to internships and jobs.
Campus ministry is an important aspect of the holistic development of each business student at Georgian. There are opportunities for prayer, worship, and service. Local, domestic, and international trips exist to help those in need in places as far as Peru, Ghana, Guatemala, and Kenya.
