Undergraduate students are able to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Healthcare Administration, Management, or Marketing. An International Business concentration is also available. Undergraduate students who plan to pursue a master’s degree can earn a joint BS/MBA. This program is five years, and seniors will begin taking graduate-level courses. There are also accelerated undergraduate business programs specifically geared towards adults who are returning to college to finish their degree. Undergraduate certificates are also available in Cybersecurity, Digital Marketing, or Supply Chain Management. These certificates take less time to earn and provide essential skills that can immediately be applied towards a specialty business career.
Graduate students can quickly ascend the corporate ladder by earning a Master of Business Administration or Master of Science in Healthcare Administration. A graduate certificate is also offered in Corporate Entrepreneurship. The 36-credit hour hybrid MBA takes 20 months to complete. The curriculum focuses on Innovation and Entrepreneur Leadership. During the program, students will build a professional portfolio with a variety of class projects. Prior to matriculation, students will defend their portfolio and complete a final project in their capstone course. The MS in Healthcare Administration takes approximately two years to complete and is also a hybrid program. Students in this program can prepare for a healthcare career by participating in an optional executive field placement.
Students who achieve high academic standards are invited to join Sigma Beta Delta. Other business organizations include the Business Club and the Young Entrepreneurs Club. Accounting students can also gain hands-on experience through tax preparation assistance for low income and elderly individuals through the VITA program. An annual business symposium features prominent guest speakers, such as the Vice President of Management and Marketing for the Miss Universe Organization, authors, and TV hosts. Graduate students are also invited to attend the one-week faculty-led study abroad trip to Dublin, Ireland. The Career Development Center helps students find internships and employment opportunities through the online platform, Handshake. Business students have interned with KPMG, Investors Bank, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, and GE Capital. A four-step College to Career Plan is in place to ensure students are graduating with essential career readiness skills.
The Master of Business Administration and Doctor of Business Administration degrees can be completed online. DBA students will demonstrate mastery by either instructing an online course or by passing a professional certification exam. Professional exam options include Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Financial Analyst, Certified Financial Planner, Certified Financial Auditor, Certified Management Accountant, or Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst. A brief residency is required during the statistics course and the two dissertation courses. Students can pair with a faculty mentor to receive academic and career guidance along the way.
