While Fairleigh Dickinson University is a private university open to a variety of applicants, they have been working hard to meet the educational needs of veterans since World War II. Education
Business students can earn an AACSB accredited degree through the Silberman College of Business at Fairleigh Dickinson University. There are many undergraduate and graduate-level programs to choose from, as well as a unique 4+1 degree that allows students to complete both their bachelor’s and master’s in only five years. A Bachelor’s of Science in Business can be earned with specializations in Accounting, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Management, or Marketing. Graduate level opportunities include an MBA in Accounting, Finance, International Business, Management, Marketing, and Pharmaceutical Management. Additional degree options include an EMBA or Master’s of Science in Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Taxation, or Digital Marketing.
Student Life
The Silberman College of Business focuses on helping students experience a well rounded educational experience. Clubs like the Accounting Society, Graduate Business Club, and honor societies like Beta Gamma Sigma create a community focused on growth and building relationships. Internships are a great way for students to gain practical work experience while still continuing their studies. The Silberman Placement and Outreach team match internship participants with the best company or organization for their goals and skill set. A few of the well-known companies that the University has collaborated with in the past include Bayer HealthCare, Enterprise, L’Oreal, and Verizon. A professional development program is also available to C.o.B students. This program furthers career readiness by offering discussion panels, networking events, professional development workshops, and presentations from successful business leaders. Past events have covered high-interest topics such as personal branding and social media, resume building, and building a professional image.
Online Programs
The Master’s of Business Administration at Fairleigh Dickinson University is 21 courses in length, offered fully online, and designed on a three-year timeline. The program begins with six foundations courses that can be waived with comparable undergraduate coursework. Students then move on to the MBA core, which includes relevant topics such as Managerial Accounting Applications, Corporate Finance, Strategic Marketing, and Information Systems for Managers. Discipline enhancing courses like Project Management and Social Media Strategy are followed by a Global Business Capstone. Other valuable graduate degrees can also be earned online through the Silberman College of Business. A few of these offerings include Master’s of Science in Supply Chain Management, Accounting, and Digital Marketing.
