Quality has become synonymous with the education students receive when earning a degree through the College of Business at Eastern Oregon University.
Eastern Oregon University’s College of Business offers a slew of other undergraduate degrees in Economics, Fire Services Administration, and Emergency Medical Services Administration, as well as the aforementioned Master’s in Business Administration. The college was recently approved to begin an accounting program, which kicked off in the fall semester of 2019 with its inaugural class. Within the business department, students can also earn a post-baccalaureate certificate in accounting, or add on a complementary minor in Global Foods and Agribusiness.
The National Fire Academy FESHE Model Curriculum is the standard for the Emergency Medical Services Administration program. This program is the only one that meets the standards set by the National Fire Academy on the West Coast. It’s easy to see why the College of Business at EOU is held in such high regard in the business community.
The university offers hands-on learning experiences which are a core component that makes these programs out of this world. Undergraduate business students can participate in a unique course called The Agency. The class is essentially a student-led marketing firm, overseen by a professor, to help local businesses flourish. Students are able to let their creative juices flow, and gain first-hand practical experience in social media, public relations, sales, marketing, and client relations. Graduate students can embrace their entrepreneurial spirit by competing in the Invent Oregon state competition. For this competition, students develop a business plan and create a prototype. The top five prototypes receive $30,000 in cash so that students could transform their project into a sustainable business. The curriculum designed for these academically rigorous programs is tailored to meet the immediate needs of in-demand jobs.
To further offset the expenses of earning a college degree, scholarships are also available for those with current or previous military service, undocumented students, and many others.
Eastern Oregon University offers a fully online undergraduate degree in Business Administration with concentrations available in Leadership, Organization and Management; Marketing; General Business; and Global Food Systems & Agribusiness. In addition, the College of Business offers the option to complete a Master of Business Administration online, which is identical to its on-campus program.
