The College of Business and Technology at Eastern Kentucky University provides students with AACSB accredited business degrees along with top-rated applied science programs. Education
The College of Business and Technology at the Eastern Kentucky University offers a wide array of associates, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees. There are a variety of concentrations, minors, and certificate options that allow students to take their program to the next level. Two-year students may earn their associate’s degree in General Studies with a concentration in Pre-Business. Bachelor’s degrees are available in Accounting, Computer Information Systems, Finance, General Business, Management, Marketing, and Risk Management and Insurance. Graduate students can earn an MBA with concentrations in Accounting or Integrated Communications.
Student Life
Business students have many opportunities to join organizations and clubs. A few of the available programs include Accounting Society, CIS Student Club, Financial Management Association, Phi Beta Lambda, PGA Golf Management, Pi Omega Pi, Society for Advancement of Management, and Marketing Club and Society for Human Resource Management. Studying abroad is another way that EKU business students take their learning to the next level. Trips can be taken in summer, winter, or for an entire semester. Internships abroad are available for some areas of study. Driven students may apply to be a part of the exchange program, which lasts one semester or one academic year. With this program, individuals are chosen to represent the EKU business program in many exciting destinations such as Japan, Germany, Korea, and the Netherlands. There are also many accommodations for students who prefer to stay on-campus, such as a comfortable nursing mother’s lounge and the NOVA program. The Nova program provides qualifying students with scholarship/grant opportunities, leadership development, living/learning communities, and much more.
There are over 30 business-specific scholarship opportunities available through the College of Business and Technology, with awards ranging from $200 to $2,600 or more. EKU has one of the largest Co-Op organizations in the state. Many of these opportunities, along with internships, are available with organizations that directly align with business skills sets. The Center for Career and Co-Op helps students prepare resumes, participate in mock interviews, and learn from successful professionals from a variety of fields.
Online Programs
Online students can earn the same high-quality degree as their on-campus peers. Undergraduate programs are available in Accounting, Risk Management and Insurance, and General Business. A certificate in Accounting can also be completed 100% online.
