Concordia University Chicago’s College of Business began in 2007 and aims to develop innovative, ethical, diverse, global-minded, entrepreneurial leaders fit to succeed in the competitive business marketplace. Placing the utmost importance in their foundational Christian faith, they also highly value excellence, integrity, social responsibility, authenticity, service, and the individual. Every degree program reflects the Four Pillars of Knowledge: Ethics & Social Responsibility, Communication & Human Relations, Critical Thinking & Entrepreneurial Mindset, and Global Interconnectedness & Inclusiveness. The College of Business is currently a candidate for the ACBSP accreditation.

Education

With an exceptionally passionate faculty committed to lead students to success, undergraduates can earn a Bachelors in Accounting, Business Intelligence & Analytics, Marketing, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Not-for-Profit/Church Management, and Sports Management. There is an accelerated program to achieve both a Bachelors and an MBA in as little as four years. Graduate students can earn a Masters in Business Administration with specializations in Accounting, Finance, Digital Marketing, Leadership & Change Management, Entrepreneurship, Not-for-Profit Management, and Sports Management. There is also a Doctorate in Business Administration degree with specializations in Marketing Innovations, Innovation in Health Care Management, and Strategic Leadership & Innovation. Undergraduate students have the advantage to increase their multicultural knowledge and perspective by participating in study abroad programs in places like France, China, and Peru. Graduate students can study abroad in places like Singapore, Germany, Hungary, the Czech Republic, and France.

Student Life

Many excellent resources are available to undergraduate and graduate students. Career Services helps take students from start to finish successfully by providing advice about what degree to pursue, assistance with resumes and finding internships, expectations in interviews, career fairs, workshops, and important events. Groups such as the Business Club, the Black Student Union, the Chinese Student Association, the MBA Student Association, the History & Politics Club, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes exist so that students will get involved in campus life and in serving their community. The Academic Center for Excellence provides peer tutoring, assistance with writing and math, and accessibility services. The Office of Multicultural Student Engagement hosts events and programs that encourage and develop multicultural knowledge and perspective. The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship reaches out to the community hosting free events like the Entrepreneur Speaker Series, seminars, on-site corporate training, and more. It also provides an entrepreneurial competition called CougarTank, that motivates students to compete in new business venture ideas.

Online Programs

The College of Business provides a variety of online programs for working professionals. The undergraduate programs include an Associates in Organizational Management and a Bachelors in Health Care Management, Organizational Management, Sports & Recreation Management, and Human Resource Management. For graduate students, there is a Masters in Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Organizational Leadership, and Business Administration. The MBA can be completed in a 100% online one-year format, two-year format, or a hybrid format where students work mostly online and attend evening classes on-campus. The Doctor of Business Administration degree is also available online.
