
Cedarville University’s School of Business Administration values ethical principles, leadership, adaptability, professionalism, stewardship, excellence, integrity, commitment, and innovative business education through the lens of Christianity and a biblical perspective. Faculty members are supportive and passionate about preparing students to be effective leaders and make a positive impact on the world. All of the programs, except the new economics majors, are accredited by the ACBSP.
Education
Students pursuing a Bachelors degree can major in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology Management, Economics, Marketing, Global Business, Management, or Sports Business Management. There is also a dual degree where the student would complete the MBA online while pursuing their Doctor of Pharmacy on campus. Graduate Certificates in Cybersecurity Management, Operations Management, and Healthcare Administration are also available.
A variety of scholarships are available to business students to help keep the costs competitive and affordable. These include the Dean’s Excellence Scholarship, the Church Matching Scholarship, One Campus Leadership Scholarship, and the President’s Ministry Impact Scholarship. Many study abroad opportunities exist for students to gain an incredible international experience. They can spend a semester in Valencia, Spain; a summer visiting India, Russia, Europe, and China through the International Business Institute; choose from over 40 different countries to go to through the Council for International Education Exchange, or be educated on the issues of other countries through the Cultural Experiences Abroad program.
Student Life
Student organizations exist to enhance the overall educational, social, and service experience. Business students can benefit from participating in student groups such as the Accounting Society, Enactus, Student Leadership Team, Women in Business, Economics Club, International Justice Mission, Society for the Advancement of Management, Operations Management Association, and the Sport Management Organization.
For an incredible experiential learning opportunity, students are highly encouraged to partake in an internship during their course of study. Cedarville business students have interned with companies like JPMorgan Chase, Northwestern Mutual, Samaritan’s Purse, Liberty Mutual, Honda, General Electric, Sherwin Williams, Macy’s, Chick-fil-A, and the Philadelphia Phillies. Other hands-on learning opportunities are accessible. The Student-Managed Investment Fund is where students oversee a university portfolio. The Key Bank Trading Center has a real-life data ticker and news from the financial world for students to increase their investment knowledge. Being a Christian University, there are several ministries to get involved in like the local churches. Also, community outreach teams help with elderly, crisis pregnancies, English tutoring, and special needs. Global Outreach Trips help with refugees in Atlanta, homeless in New York City, needy children in Guatemala, and the Community Health Network in Malawi.
Online Programs
The School of Business Administration graduate degrees are offered entirely online and are also ACBSP-accredited. There is a Masters in Business Administration, an MBA in Healthcare Administration, and an MBA in Operations Management. The MBA concentrations are in Business Analytics, Cybersecurity, Healthcare Administration, Innovation & Entrepreneurship, and Operations Management.
