The College of Leadership & Social Change at Carlow University weaves social justice idealism throughout every facet of the coursework. They value ethical leadership, versatility, collaboration, transformation, empowerment, excellence, respect, and teamwork. The qualified faculty members work hard at providing expert instruction while engaging in creative and effective research. Many of the business programs offered are IACBE accredited.

Education

Undergraduate students can major in Accounting, Business Management, Corporate Communication, Human Resource Management, Forensic Accounting, Art Therapy Preparation, Behavioral Neuroscience, Criminology, Political Science, Psychology, Social Work, Pre-Med, or Pre-Law. Graduate students can earn a Masters in Business Administration, Fraud & Forensics, Professional Counseling, Social Work, or Student Affairs. The MBA program has several MBAs to choose from including an MBA in Healthcare Management, Leadership & Management, Human Resource Management, or Project Management. There is also an MBA concentration in Fraud & Forensics.

Merit scholarships like the Trustee Scholarship and the Presidential Scholarship are available to first-year students. Adult students can benefit from scholarships like the Clark Memorial Scholarship, Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship, and the City of Pittsburgh Tuition Discount. Graduate students can apply for scholarships as well. To expand a student’s global perspective and give them a once in a lifetime experience, the Center for Global Learning offers numerous study abroad opportunities to places like Italy, Ireland, and Belize. Carlow offers financial aid and scholarships to help fund international trips.

Student Life

Outside of the classroom, students can receive even more academic support through tutoring, mentoring, and the online Grace Library. MBA students can access the Executive in Residence to personally extract from their knowledge and experience. There are a diverse set of student clubs and organizations available for business students consisting of academic, professional, leadership, service, cultural, and recreational organizations. These groups consist of Business Leaders of Carlow, Student Leaders in Communication, Alpha Kappa Alpha, Alpha Phi Omega, The Student Promotion and Recruitment Team (SPiRiT), Black Student Union, LGBT & Allies, University Theatre Group, Commuter Student Association, and the Student Athlete Association. Religious Campus Ministries provide events and service outreach to the campus and community as well.

Experiential Learning is vital to the development of leaders and managers. The Center for Experiential Learning supports and provides opportunities for undergraduate research projects, internships, service-learning, and leadership development. The Carlow Hub for Workforce Development & Innovation builds community partners and creates academic classes. They are always advancing their programs to develop professionals worthy of being hired.

Online Programs

Online education is both flexible and more affordable than traditional education. The College of Leadership and Social Change offers entirely online Bachelors in Corporate Communication and Masters in Fraud & Forensics degrees. Experienced professionals can obtain an Executive MBA fully online in just ten months. The online Bachelors in Business Management and the MBA can be completed entirely online or a hybrid of online courses and on-campus class sessions.
