The Dr. Robert K. Jabs School of Business at California Baptist University is devoted to a Christ-centered, service-oriented, high-caliber business education. They value integrity, knowledge, personal growth, excellence, and spiritual growth in the faculty, staff, and students. Biblical perspective, global mindset, business theory, curiosity, relevant thought, and entrepreneurship all combine to fully develop the student to reach their educational goals and reach a high point of success in their career ventures. The School of Business is ACBSP-accredited and has around 700 students enrolled.

Education

Undergraduate students can earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Finance, International Business, or Marketing. The BBA has optional concentrations in Entrepreneurship, Management, Real Estate Management, and Social Entrepreneurship. Students can also minor in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, and Real Estate. Graduate students can earn a Master of Science in Information Technology Management or a Master of Business Administration degree. The optional MBA concentrations are in Accounting, Aviation Management, Construction Management, Healthcare Administration, and Management. Scholarships like the Trustees Scholarship, Presidents Scholarship, Deans Scholarship, and Directors Scholarship are a necessity for many students. International trips, like the Global Field Trip to Oxford, England, are advantageous in the overall educational experience to help gain a multicultural perspective.

Student Life

A meaningful way to encourage business students to engage in relationships, campus events, and community service is through the many student groups like the Accounting Society, Investment Group, Life101, and Marketing Club. An excellent way for students to be the voice of the students to the faculty and staff, help accomplish goals, and influence community projects, is through the Student Leadership Council. There are numerous resources for students, including the Career Center that offer assistance with career goals, professional development, internships, resumes, job searches, and many other tools. Another resource is the Alumni Council, where alumni get to provide leadership, internships, and job possibilities for current students. The Bob Goodrich Business Plan Competition gives students a great way to compete as a team in creating a new business plan or product for cash prizes. The Ticker blog provides current business news, research information from faculty, and more. A unique activity the School of Business has is the Donuts with the Dean where students get the opportunity to talk to and hear from the dean personally.

Online Programs

The online degree programs available to undergraduates are the Bachelors in Accounting, Healthcare Administration & Management, Information Technology Management, Network Administration & Management, Marketing, Organizational Leadership, and Business Administration with concentrations in Logistics & Operations or Management. The online degree programs available to graduate students are the Masters in IT Management, Masters in Business Administration in Accounting, Organizational Leadership, or General Management, and a Doctor of Business Administration.
