Buena Vista University offers a superior private school business education through the Harold Walter Siebens School of Business. Scholarships ranging from $5,000 to $50,000 are available for high achieving business students. In fact, 100% of students who apply for financial aid receive assistance. The small 9:1 student-to-faculty ratio ensures students are never just a name on a class roster. This personal attention allows professors to pour knowledge and resources into students, and 99% of the 2019 class had obtained employment within six months of graduation. Classes are offered at 19 satellite campuses throughout Iowa, making earning your degree convenient.

The Institute for Agriculture, Food, and Resource Management provides a stellar hands-on learning environment.
Student Life
Storm Lake is a rural college town, but don’t let that trick you into thinking there’s not much to do. Business students explore new interests by participating in the Accounting and Business Association, serving on the Student Senate, honing in on leadership skills through the Multicultural Leadership Engagement Team, and volunteering with the Student Mobilizing Outreach and Volunteer Efforts. Each year, students volunteer approximately 56,000 hours to make the college and community a better place. Students also travel with classmates and professors to Chicago and St. Louis to visit large corporations. During the January Interim, students can even travel abroad. The Office of Career and Leadership Development helps students stay on the right track throughout college. Students can connect with alumni, get help securing an internship, or build a resume that will help land an interview. The CPA Career Awareness Conference gives students a chance to network with professionals in the field, and students can interview with big four firms during the annual Accounting Interview Day. Graduates assume positions with KPMG, Deloitte, and Minnesota Vikings.
