Brandeis University is a private research school sitting in the suburbs of Boston. Brandeis International School of Business recently celebrated its twenty-fifth anniversary. The IBS prides itself on classes that are not just textbook-based but focused on learning through real-life experience. Students analyze and debate real-world business cases to gain a better understanding of how organizations operate outside of the classroom. The Brandeis International School of Business is AACSB accredited and ranked among the Best Business Schools by the Princeton Review, as well as, listed at #3 in the US for pre-finance programs.

Education

Students are accepted into the Brandeis undergraduate business degree program by application only, resulting in students within the program who are highly motivated to learn and earn their degrees. The bachelor’s degree program partners with the School of Arts and Sciences for a unique Bachelor of Arts in Business degree. Students are encouraged to double major in things such as psychology and sociology to enhance their learning experience and get them ready for the specific business field that they plan to work in. A BA/MA program is also offered for entering freshman students, which allows them to finish a bachelor’s and master’s degree in only five years.

Brandeis IBS students can earn a Master of Art degree with concentrations in Applied Economic Analysis, Data Analytics, Marketing, Real Estate Finance, and Financial Economics. A Master of Business Administration, Master of Science in Finance and Master of Science in Business Analytics is also offered. Depending on students’ backgrounds, the MBA can be completed in one or two years. An MBA from Brandeis will help students drive their careers where they want them to go. Whether they are looking to advance their career in their current field, switch careers, or start their own business. The MBA program is ranked among the best MBA program in the world by CNN Expansion, along with the business school itself being recognized as one of the best business schools in North America for eleven years straight by the Princeton Review. Additionally, a Ph.D. in International Economics and Finance can be earned.

Student Life

Students at Brandeis are encouraged to take part in internships to gain real-world experiences. Many of their students have interned for corporations such as MTV, Royal Caribbean Cruises, Morgan Stanley, United Nations, and Amazon, just to name a few. Clubs and organizations are a great way for students to interact and connect with peers as well as businesses in the community. At Brandeis, student organizations include Entrepreneurship and Innovation Club, the Global Markets Investment Club, Brandeis Students Consultancy, Chinese Student and Scholars Association, and TAMID, which uses the Israeli economy for hands-on interaction to develop professional skills. The international business honor society, Beta Gamma Sigma, is also present on campus. To be accepted is the highest achievement offered to business school students.
