Andrews University’s School of Business Administration works to “emphasize excellence in teaching in our disciplines, challenging students to search for knowledge and for that wisdom illumined by Christian insight in preparation for service to the world.” S.o.B.A. participants are held to a high standard both in class and outside. In fact, ethics play such a large role in program curriculums that graduates take an ethics oath at the end of their degree. This oath is meant to set them apart and set a higher ethical standard for professional conduct.

Education

Andrews University’s School of Business Administration carries esteemed IACBE accreditation. They offer undergraduate degrees in Accounting, Finance, and Information Systems. Within the Bachelor’s of Business Administration programs, students can also major in Computer Science, Data Science, Informatics, or Information Systems. There are top-notch programs available in the areas of Management, Marketing, and International Business as well. Students looking to complete their master’s degree can earn either a Professional MBA or Organizational Management MSA. The MBA program has three delivery formats, which include an interactive online program, traditional on-campus, or international site at Vietnam National University. Organizational Management MSA students will appreciate the program’s broad reach that covers topics like Intercultural Business Relations, Financial Statement Analysis, and Christian Communication World View & Ethics.

Student Life

The Office of Student Activities & Involvement at Andrews University is committed to helping all students find ways to engage in a variety of on-campus events and organizations. There are a variety of sport, recreational, and spiritually focused groups and activities as well. The Andreasen Center for Wellness offers many wellness resources that cover aspects of holistic health. Daily wellness themes are encouraged and include topics such as Stress-Free Sunday, Workout Wednesday, and Thoughtful Thursday. The center’s mission is to “value, emphasize and reestablish care and training for the physical body as foundational to spiritual, mental, relational, and professional wellness. “These foundational goals can be seen throughout the campus through the integration of wellness facilities, well spaces, wellness strategies, and wellness research & education. Spiritual health is also a primary focus at Andrews. Due to this emphasis, there is ample access to campus ministries, chapel, Sunday worship services, and service-learning opportunities.

Online Programs

Distance students can earn their Associate’s of Science in General Business as a stepping stone to further their career and education. The program is self-paced, and 62 credits in length with entry dates in August, January, or May. A Master’s of Business Administration and Master’s of Science in Administration can also be earned primarily online. The MBA allows students to complete all course work from the convenience of home with the exception of a handful of three-week intensives during final courses. The MSA in Organizational Management does not require intensives and offers a well-rounded focus on leadership for a variety of industrial settings. This degree, “the program blends business management, church management, and communication principles to create a well-rounded degree experience.”
