Amridge University is a private, Christian institution of higher education that offers convenient distance learning degrees for busy adult learners. The U.S. Department of Education actually selected Amridge as one of the first 15 colleges to pilot online learning. The College of Business and Leadership can help you work your way up the corporate ladder to a leadership role. The curriculum focuses on human relations, research, oral, and written communication. Students will also learn to utilize the latest technology in the business industry. Through the Corporate Alliance Program, many students may be eligible for tuition assistance through their place of employment. Approximately 90% of all Amridge students receive financial aid of some form.

Education

A wide range of degrees are offered at all levels, from associate’s through the doctoral level. Students seeking an associate’s degree can earn an Associate of Arts in Business Administration, Human Resource Leadership, Information Systems Management, or Web Development. Four-year degree options include the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Information Systems Management, or Management.

Students who have already earned their undergraduate degree and are seeking advanced opportunities or a career change may pursue a Master of Science in Leadership and Management or a Master of Business Administration. The 30-credit hour MBA may be completed on a part-time or full-time basis. Full-time students will be able to fulfill graduation requirements in just four semesters. The curriculum consists of 21 hours of core courses and nine hours of electives. The 40-credit hour MS in Leadership and Management consists of 30 hours of functional management courses and 10 hours of elective credits. Some of the electives available to students include Theories of Motivational Leadership, Military Leadership Models, Spiritual Leadership within the Organization, and Human Resource Leadership.

Those wanting to enter research or academia careers can enroll in the Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies or Organizational Leadership. These programs can be completed by full-time students in four years, or at a part-time pace that works with the student’s family and career commitments. The Organizational Leadership curriculum consists of a three-credit-hour orientation course, 12 hours of research courses, 21 hours of discipline-specific courses, 12 hours of dissertation courses, and a comprehensive exam that counts as three-credit hours.

Student Life

Students will receive the support they need from a caring team of faculty and staff. Committed career advisors teach students to use a variety of online tools to search for jobs. An online database of sample resumes and cover letters can be accessed at any time to help students craft their own. After completing a resume utilizing the Resume Builder tool, a career advisor will review it and make suggestions for improvement. Students can also watch informational videos covering topics such as landing an interview, preparing for an interview, and what to bring to the interview. Free Office 365 software is also available for free for students to complete class assignments. All of these valuable assets ensure students are fully prepared to be successful in their future careers.
