Education

The School of Business, Arts, and Sciences offers an array of high-quality degree options. A few of the business-specific degrees include Economics/Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Management, and Marketing. There is also a General Business major that offers a broad focus of business essentials that prepare students for careers in top business fields. Graduates of this program can expect to leave with a working knowledge of Entrepreneurship, Finance, Marketing, Advertising, Private Banking, and Technology. Minors that may be of interest to business students include Communications, Fraud and Financial Crimes, International Business, or Sports and Recreation Management. Accounting, General Business, and Healthcare Management majors are available in both traditional and evening formats. The evening format is set up at a part-time pace with a 15-week course schedule. This option also emphasizes a personalized experience with average class sizes of 14:1.

Graduate students can choose from degrees in Accounting/Taxation, Business Administration, Cannabis Science, and Commerce, or Resort and Casino Management. MBA participants can choose from either a part-time cohort-based program or the accelerated 4+1 degree, which allows students to complete their undergraduate business degree and Master’s of Business Administration in only five years.

Student Life

American International College has many resources in place to help students take care of themselves as it pertains to academics, health, mental wellness, and building relationships with peers. Dexter Health Services allows students to meet with on-campus healthcare professionals for basic needs at no charge. The Dexter Counseling Center is also free and includes wellness services like group counseling, individual counseling, and specialized workshops related to mental health. The Athletics and Fitness department helps students take care of their bodies and make friends through intramural sports, group exercise classes, and access to the Falconer Fitness Center.

Online Programs

The Master’s of Business Administration at AIC is a flexible hybrid degree with accreditation through the IACBE. Students complete their MBA in about two years by taking one course at a time, one night a week, for seven weeks. This set-up helps participants to focus their learning on one area and build team-based relationships with their peers. While the schedule is relaxed, the content of this degree covers important topics such as Quantitative Analysis for Decision Making, Managerial Economics, Organizational Behavior, and Information Systems for Business Strategy. The program culminates with an MBA capstone project where students create a fully functional business plan to start their own business.
