Education

Undergraduate students can choose from a traditional day program, or non-traditional adult learners can participate in the evening program. Undergraduate degrees are offered in Accounting, Computer Information Systems, Business Management, Finance, Health Care Management, and Sport Management. Additional specialties that can be added to the Business Management program include Entrepreneurship, Marketing Management, and Human Resource Management. Finance students can choose to pursue the Corporate Finance or Personal Financial Planning route, and CIS students can add a concentration in Cyber Security. Additionally, an Associate of Science in Business Management degree is offered. Accounting majors will be prepared to take the CPA exam and have the option of completing the five-year BSA/MSA.

Graduate students can earn a Master of Business Administration, with a concentration in Accounting, General Management, Health Care Management, Leadership, Project Management, or a Human Resource Specialization. Specialty master’s degrees include a Master of Science in Management and Organizational Leadership or Accounting with a concentration in Personal Financial Planning. A Master of Arts in Leadership is also offered. Accounting students who pursue the Personal Financial Planning route are prepared to sit for AICPA’s Personal Financial Specialist exam. Courses are offered in an accelerated eight-week format, and there are five starting points throughout the year.

Student Life

Though the student body of the entire campus is only approximately 1,500 students, business majors will still find plenty of ways to get involved. Students are encouraged to complete an internship. Business students can also enhance their experience by joining the Business Club or the Student Government Association. Students can also study abroad in Rome through the partnership with Assumption College, in Ireland at Sacred Heart University, or anywhere in the world through the affiliation with the American Institute for Study. There are also many local charities for students to volunteer with. Guest speakers are also invited to campus to share their professional and personal experiences.

Online Programs

Undergraduate students who are unable to attend classes on campus due to distance or work schedules may earn a convenient, fully online degree in Computer Information Systems or Finance, which are both growing career fields.

Graduate students can earn an MS in Accounting, MA in Leadership, MS in Management and Organizational Leadership, or MBA in a “Flex” format, which allows students to decide on a class-by-class basis if they’d like to enroll online or in a blended course. For the blended courses, students will experience a combination of one class per week on-campus and one online assignment per week. Online courses will feature two weekly lectures, which can be viewed from the comfort of the student’s home.
