Academic Programs

Degrees available in the 18 distinct schools range from Bachelor’s and post-baccalaureate certificates to Master’s and Doctorates. Programs include campus-based, online and foreign studies programs. UT Austin is best known for excellence in Business (primarily Accounting), Engineering, Bio-tech fields and Communications/Journalism. Student Life

The 51,000+ student body keeps busy on campus with over 1000 recognized clubs and organizations. There is much to do on campus as well, where 7 museums and 17 libraries comprise over 9 million volumes (making it the 7th-largest academic library in the country). NCAA Division I sports keep fans busy – and happy with over 50 national championships in the past 65 years! “Hook-em Horns!” is the battle cry for the burnt orange and white and the Longhorn Band boasts the ‘largest bass drum in the world’!
