Anderson University is recognized as an Apple distinguished school for educational excellence, leadership, and innovation. This high standard is reflected within the business programs offered through the College of Business. Graduates of Anderson’s C.o.B. go on to work for many notable non-profit organizations, local businesses, and Fortune 500 companies.

Education

All undergraduate business programs through the College of Business include a comprehensive 13-course core curriculum. This well-rounded set of classes ensures that students are well versed in essential business functions such as manufacturing, employee management, accounting, marketing, and more. Prior to graduation, all students working towards their bachelor’s degree must complete an internship where they spend a minimum of 150 hours working within a business. This addition to the curriculum allows students to have hands-on experience before they even enter the workforce.

Christian values play an important role in the educational experience at Anderson University, because of this, “Christian ethics [are] integrated into business classes and taught by professors who are Christians.” For graduate students, the 36 credit hour MBA can be completed either online or in-person and includes concentration options in Healthcare Leadership, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or Human Resource Management. A few of the classes included within the core curriculum include Management Thought and Application, Marketing Management, Organizational Behavior, and Strategic Management.

Student Life

There are programs and support systems in place to help Anderson C.o.B. students develop academically, personally, professionally, and spiritually. There are several centers, offices, and services centers on campus, including the Center for Student Success, Counseling Center, Career Planning and Professional Development Office, and Health Services. Students at all stages of their educational journey will enjoy participating in campus traditions such as Welcome Week, Homecoming, Spring Fever Week, or Student Appreciation Day. Clubs and organizations are divided between four groups-Common Interest Organizations, Spiritual Enrichment and Organizations, Academic Honor Societies, and Academic Student Organizations. Many of the options available benefit students through networking opportunities with peers of similar interest groups. One of the many goals of the University is to help students “not only be successful in the career of their choice, but to be successful in all realms of life – in family, community, work, and church.”
